You ask, we reply!
We do not have a minimum age requirement. Most of our learners are typically between 9 and 13 years old, although we also work with both younger and older students.
Licenses are issued on an individual basis, so each licence may only be used by one person.
TypeMission can be followed entirely independently. The programme is designed so that children can learn to type on their own, in a clear and structured way.
Yes, TypeMission is suitable for children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. The programme makes strong use of video, which helps children with reading difficulties follow the story and instructions more easily. There is also a dyslexia-friendly font available, designed to make letters such as d, p, q and b easier to tell apart.
On average, the TypeMission course takes around 20 weeks to complete. With just 10 minutes of practice a day, most children can learn to touch type confidently within that time.
You will receive an email report after each weekly test your child completes. There are 20 tests in total. Each report shows your child’s progress, including typing speed and error rate. You can also view these reports at any time in the parent portal.
Yes, TypeMission includes a variety of exercises, games, and missions to make typing both fun and challenging. This helps children stay motivated throughout the course.
If your child does not pass the typing test, they can continue practising and retaking it until they are happy with the result. This gives them the chance to improve at their own pace and work towards earning the official TypeMission typing diploma.
The course licence is valid for one year. This is more than enough time to complete the 20-week course. If your child needs more time for any reason, you can simply contact us.
TypeMission can be accessed on any computer with an internet connection. No special software is needed. Your child only needs a modern web browser.
We do recommend using a computer with at least 8 GB of RAM and a 1 GB graphics card. Most modern computers and laptops will meet these requirements.
If you are unsure, we recommend trying the trial lesson first. If the trial lesson tuns smoothly, the rest of the course should work well too.
